I believe therapy is a safe place to find your story.
Finding your story is important because it supports you in having emotional and physical boundaries. Finding your story prevents you from repeating old harmful patterns.
I believe therapy is a safe place to tell your story.
Telling your story in a safe confidential way is important because it allows you to explore as you claim the power to redefine your life.
My work as a therapist has evolved over the past three decades, through social work then a Masters Degree in Counselling and an advanced diploma in Art Therapy from the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute.
I believe therapy is a safe place to start healing.
Starting your healing is important because unhealed emotional wounds keep you trapped in a hopeless state.
Beyond my degrees I have explored body-healing therapies, Imago processes with couples, Diagnostic Drawing Series and Dissociation, Trauma and the Soul.
I believe therapy is a place to explore your transcendence.
Exploring your transcendent nature is important because therapy is about more than just healing.
Therapy is also about finding your strengths, your humour and your creativity.
I believe you deserve the attention that therapy gives.
Non-judgemental attention is important because it gives you the freedom to express your whole self.
I have continued to advance my experience through work with Yukon First Nations communities and working with Seniors and Elders.
Much of my focus is on the multigenerational transmission of trauma, complex grief and transitional states of change.
